Khalid Teotihua "DJ Shuddha" Jackson-Ali
Real Estate and Angel Investor, Producer, Louisville Activist
Know what makes a man? It isn't what you think. Know what makes a neighborhood? It isn't what you think. The reason you don't know the answer is because you are not DJ Shuddha. Khalid has been a fixture of Louisville for over a decade, and there is no part of the revitalization of downtown that has escaped his fingerprint. Even the larger corporate investment has had to deal with the workers unions and staff demands that have been spearheaded by Khalid. The clubs, bars, and entertainment? That involves bartenders, bouncers, and talent... all of which have worked with, or consider the advice of... Uncle Jackson-Ali. Hell, even the local MMA and Boxing Scene goes to this man for promotion. Neuvo Louisville is not shaped by, but has the flavor of, a single voice.
And this conspiracy is ridiculous, even if it is true. DJ Shuddha has his fingers in any pie that involves the little people. Further, there is nothing that will be successful in downtown (or adjacent) Louisville without people to run and build it. If you are familiar with Kentucky, then you already know that the investors and money are not going to build shit themselves. So by defacto, this makes Khalid the Jimmy Hoffa of Louisville. Oh, and for some reason, every shifter that gets near learns the hard way that this man, is working with the weaver. Something the Corax and Ratkin knew, but the Garou are only recently getting hip to. It only cost the wolves a pack of cubs on their rite of passage before they started to notice that DJ Shudda also runs deep with spirits.
Further, he may be one of the reason the Garou have never had much of a presence in the city. It can't be proven, but even Kinfolk investments and endeavors have been stifled within the city. Perhaps that is bad luck, perhaps it is coincidence, but every denial stamp on any paperwork, is only one intuitive leap away from someone Khalid influences. While the Corax and Rats have no issue accepting this as the norm, more and more wolves are starting to get interested. For their part, The Subjects of The Black King are told to give respect and work around him. The Rats are told not to engage, nor get caught, and that seems to work. The only thing that hasn't been tried yet, is working WITH the shadow power of working class Louisville.
