Every month you may request a single scene for your character that the staff will write up for you. In this way, we can make sure that every player has the chance to resolve plot arcs, deal with their background materials, and generally get the most out of the game.
When you wish to put in a Scene Request, you must let us know what scene we are running. This is a delicate balance, and it can sometimes take some work to sort out. It is not enough to simply state that you "want to do something to gain Glory renown." Instead, you must tell us what you're attempting to do to gain the renown. Example: "I want to gain Wisdom Renown" is a bad request. "I would like to construct a fetish that allows me to {insert effect here}" is a good request.
A scene request must contain enough information that the member on the staff running the scene knows what you are attempting to do. Additionally, some scene requests require a certain degree of prep work. The crafting a new fetish example from above would likely involve researching which kinds of spirits you need, making the item that is meant to house the spirit, purifying it, etc. which will need to be done before the scene starts. (This is part of what DTAs are for, scouting, crafting, researching, etc. so you're not running in blind or without necessary things.)
Also, there will not be any scenes run where a player makes the determination on how it will end. It is one thing to request a scene where you go and hunt fomori, it is another entirely for you to tell us what kind of fomori you're going to find and kill. The Staff will make those kinds of determinations (outside of characters doing Downtime Actions to insure they have a specific target) so that we can make sure that it fits within the ongoing plots of the Chronicle.
Next, when you make a scene request, please include the times and days that your schedule is usually open. It will be handed to a Staff member that is capable of being online at those times and on those days. If you know that you have a vacation, or a birthday, or some other event planned that will eliminate one of those times and dates, include that in the request, so that we are not wasting time trying to schedule scenes.
Lastly, pack Alpha's will have the ability to make a second scene request every month. This second request MUST be a request for the entire pack. It cannot be a scene where the Alpha excludes any member of the pack for any reason. These are intended so that the pack can accomplish its intended goals, not so that individual members can work on their backgrounds, flaws, personal goals, etc.
