There are a few things that need to be cleared up, especially as this game grows. While they are not issues now, the possibility of them becoming issues as we gain more and more players is something that has the possibility of ruining play for others, and that's something that none of us wants. Please follow these simple rules.
You cannot participate in more than 2 "active" rooms at the same time. What this means is, if you're in a scene taking place in a Dynamic Room that started 2 days ago, and you're in a scene taking place in the Penumbra that started yesterday, you cannot join a new scene until one of those has resolved. We don't want to cut into people's RP, but at the same time we cannot have players taking up rooms for day after day in scenes that aren't wrapping up or ending. We don't want to place a hard cap on when scenes must be resolved, so instead, we're limiting play options until they are resolved.
Let others in the scene know if there is something that is going to be delaying your posts. There is nothing more frustrating than getting a night off work, going home to play a game, and the people that are in the scene with you make a single post the entire evening. It prevents you from doing what you were wanting to do with your free time. We believe that your time is valuable, and we believe our time is valuable. If you're going to take longer than 20 minutes to post a reply, let others know so that they are not sitting at their computers, waiting on you to post something. Just a simple, "Hey, I'm at work right now, it is going to be a while between my posts." Something that tells the other players that they have time to do other things (make dinner, run a quick errand, do dishes, go and grab a cigarette, whatever) before they have to check back for your posts.
If a scene request is being run by an ST, there is a hard cap of 15 minutes for you to reply. If there isn't a reply within 15 minutes, anyone in the scene may decide that you have had nothing to add, and will move on with the scene. When you submit a Scene Request, and when you schedule a scene with an ST, you are signalling to us that you are going to be present and capable of playing on that day and at that time. If something comes up (because emergencies do happen) let the ST know, and we will reschedule the scene. The STs on this site are constantly writing plots for the players, processing downtime actions, processing XP, writing the next scene that was requested, answering questions, looking up rules, etc. And that is on top of our jobs and families. If we are setting aside everything else to run a specific scene that we have scheduled with you, we ask that you set aside those things for us as well.
