The staff would like to see more of the playing the struggles of rage, the hardships, and the bloody gory mess that comes from being an honest to Gaia monster.
The theme and setting of this game is meant to be dirty, nasty, gritty, offensive, and horrible and it's seemed to be falling much more in line of, we're all trying to get along and not be monstrous except in combat or to some select NPCs. There's been little struggle to control the beast and find balance with the perils the Shifters struggle with: interacting with others, with other shifters, with kinfolk, and with mortals. I'm not calling anyone out and I'm not naming names, and it's not everyone, but we're looking to shift more back toward what the theme and setting are meant to be.
You are a monster on the outside of mortal society looking in and dreaming about it, always the bridesmaid and never the bride as they can't stand to be around you, and those that can still don't really like you. Control is a tenuous pipe dream, you live in daily fear of ripping apart your friends and loved ones, let alone anyone else around you. Being a shifter is isolating outside of your pack, and even they're not always safe.
After a vote among the Players, we are instituting a new optional rule.
New Stories: When a new Month begins, each player may roll a die to determine how many Rage points he possesses currently and tag the Storytellers. Yes, characters might end up with less Rage than they had at the end of the last story. Such is the way of Rage. It is always moving and never predictable.
Bonus: If you choose to take this option, there is the opportunity to earn up to 2 bonus XP for the month (which is 25% more xp) based on the Staffs evaluation on how it was played when the option is taken.
What's Going to Get You Different Levels:
0- If at the End of the Month, the staff evaluates and determines that the rage was just blown off immediately in a non-combat scene, training, or other gifts and illegitimate fluff means; not played; or is gotten rid of it as soon as possible to keep playing nicety nice, there will be no bonus.
1- The staff evaluates and determines that it was played pretty well but really strictly fluffed around with and nothing really came of it.
2- The staff evaluates and decides that it was played very well, lead to critical turning points for the PC, and had lasting impacts in other PCs and the chronicle.
