Off in the woods, not far from the waterfalls all things considered, there is a small clearing in the middle of a stand of sassafras trees that make almost a perfect ring. On nights when Luna shines down at her brightest there is a faint moon bow that often strikes at one end of the clearing and slowly makes its way across from one end to the other as Luna makes her way across the sky. Unlike the other caerns that all have an ancient tree that marks their holiest of holies, the Sept of the Moon Bow does not allow for any trees, bushes, or really anything but grass to grow in the heart of their caern so that the path of the actual moon bow is always unobstructed. It is said that, at the end of the rainbow, there is a pot of gold awaiting those that find it. None have been so fortunate searching for the end of the Moon Bow, but those that call this Sept their home claim that they have found things far more useful.
In the absolute center of the ring there is a place where the grass itself has turned black, and when Luna's light arcs into that place from two different places, the grass shimmers with a full display of prismatic light. Some say that this is a blessing from Luna herself that the Sept of the Moon Bow is a treasured place that must be defended at all cost. Some say that this is a curse by Luna that the Sept is wrong and unnatural and that those who follow its leaders are doomed to failure. The truly wisened ones, who know the inner workings of the Children of Gaia, know the truth. This was the place that Black Unicorn first took on the role of a totem for an entire Sept.
On nights when the Sept holds moots there are bonfires that are built outside the line of sassafras trees so that their flickering and waving light through the trees and casting shadows that dance and shift to their own rhythm. When the spirits are called forth they tend to come from outside of view on the other side of the bonfires and vanish as they meet the treeline only to be visible for brief moments in the shadows which are cast against the swaying branches on the opposite side of the clearing. For those that have been present during the moots under a full moon, it is said that the spiritual energy is enough to send actual prisms lancing into the sky as the the Moon Bow's arc causes the Black Unicorn to fully manifest and lead his people to war.
