The penumbra of Stag's Heart is an idyllic place for the garou. This is what the umbra is supposed to be, and how it is supposed to seem within the confines of a Sept. While at other Septs, the Keepers tend to struggle to find balance, and to maintain balance, Stag's Heart is the perfect example of how things should be. The Keeper of the Land can often be found here in the penumbra, working constantly to make sure that everything is exactly as it should be. And not just as she would wish it to be, but as Ole One Eye demands it must be.
The most interesting feature of Stag's Heart are the stags themselves. Towering larger than the deer of anywhere else in the country, and perhaps even the world, the spiritual herds that roam through the forests and drink from the pond are practically a nightmare for the Keeper to deal with as she must constantly insure that they are not overpopulating the umbral landscape while also being banned from actually bringing harm to them for fear of angering the Sept's Totem.
It is also slightly peculiar that, much like in the tellurian, the spirits of this place seem to avoid the Garden of Fallen Heroes in the penumbra. Nobody is quite sure why the spirits avoid this place, but it is rumored that one of the markers placed in the tellurian is for a garou that has since become a rather peculiar ancestor that terrorizes the spirits that do show up and that there is a certain day of the year that this ancestor arrives and seeks vengeance upon any spirits that have breached this unspoken rule. However, to date, nobody has been able to figure out exactly which day of the year this alleged event happens on, so it has remained a mystery as to why the spirits tend to avoid this place.
