GENERAL CHARACTER CREATION All characters made for this chronicle must meet a few general guidelines.
- Any attribute that is listed at 1 or 5 at character creation must be explained to the satisfaction of the staff
- No Ability may start at greater than 3, prior to spending Freebie Points
- The Rites background may be purchased above 5 dots with Freebie Points
- The "Ferner" flaw will be added to any characters that, at the time of character creation, meet the requirements of the flaw
- Characters must be "age appropriate" for their type. This means that it is permitted for you play a character under the age of 18. However if you are caught having a NSFW scene with a minor in the chat, you will be *asked* to leave in such a way that my Boot will fly at you, the character will be deleted, and you will not be making another character. Da Boot will tolerate smut on this site (and promises to hand out appropriate plots to punish those who make me read that stuff) but child smut will not be tolerated. Fade those to black, and take them somewhere else, you sickos.
As of this time, we are only allowing players to make a single character. We are not allowing mortals into the game at this time. Your character must be a garou, fera, or kinfolk. We are allowing kinfolk to take sorcery. HOWEVER, and I cannot stress this enough, kinfolk who use their magics openly, in front of certain NPCs, will find themselves exiled at best. No, we are not going to tell you which ones those are. Figure it out in character. Until that point, guard that secret as if you life depends upon it (because it likely does.)
We are allowing individuals to play the following fera types: Ananasi, Celican, Corax, Gurahl (Black Bears; Forest Walkers only), Nuwisha, Pumonica, Qualmi, or Ratkin. Much like the garou, you will begin the game at Rank 1. However, these are not permitted to play inside any of the Septs. Additionally, this game is meant to be a Werewolf Game. This means that, while the fera are allowed, there is no promise that there will be a storyline at any point in time which is dedicated to the Fera and the staff is under no obligation to include you in any scenes beyond those requested through the scene request forums. This means that gaining renown or experience will not be an easy task for you to accomplish in this Chronicle, unless you manage to convince the local garou to accept you.
If you are making a new character because your previous character has died, you may spend up to half of spent XP on your previous character on your new character and begin at up to half of your previous rank (Rounded Down.) This means that, if you have earned 105 XP, and spent 90 XP at the time of your character's death, your next character can start with 45 XP as a bonus. This XP must be spent after all Freebie Points have been allocated. Additionally, it will not be factored in to any future "rollover" XP. (If the above character were to spend all 45 of the rollover XP, and die before he spends any more, the next character will begin play as a starting character.) This rollover bonus does not apply to characters that are retired or placed on hiatus. Werewolf is a violent game. If you want the XP, find a way to get yourself killed like an honorable garou.

CUB CHARACTER CREATION
The following character creation rules apply:
Homid: Cannot purchase Primal Urge at character Creation.
Metis: No restrictions. Metis must take a deformity at character creation, a derangement will not qualify as a deformity unless it conforms to similar deformities listed on pages 74-76 of the W20 book.
Lupus: Cannot purchase Academics, Computers, Crafts, Drive, Etiquette, Larceny, Law, Science, Technology at character creation.
Tribe: Must follow all tribal restrictions on backgrounds for the Tribe the character was "born" into, even if the Cub will become a member of another tribe after completing their Rite of Passage.
Character Creation Differences: Cubs do not receive the 3 free gifts at character creation and receive 0 freebie points at character creation.
(There have been a few people curious as to why cobs start off at such a disadvantage. You are making an 11-16 year old child that has just undergone their first change, and won't be let loose upon the world until the Den Father says that you're ready. They haven't learned that much yet! Additionally, allowing cub characters to start with freebies and gifts means that when they complete their rite of passage, with the XP they earn through play, they would be more advanced than starting cliaths. If you are wanting to play a cub just so that you can begin play with your Rite of Passage, please talk to a Storyteller and we will see if we can arrange something.)
